We don’t usually get into social issues on our blog but we have had enough. After watching the “Black in America 2″ special last night I am highly upset at those parents who don’t and wont take the education of there children seriously. IT’S YOUR FAULT that your child can’t read at the proper grade level. IT’S YOUR FAULT that your child doesn’t go to school. IT’S YOUR FAULT that they won’t be able to compete in the work place. IT’S YOUR FAULT they don’t have the tools to succeed in life. Yea I said it its way past time that we take responsibility for our childrens education and ultimate adult success. If you say “I don’t have time for the PTA” you’re a liar. If you say “I don’t have time to read to and have my child read to me every night” you’re a liar. If you don’t visit with your Childs teacher and make you presence felt at there school and they get F’s you’re the failure. They are children “they know not what they do”, but you are an adult you know exactly what you do so either make the changes in your life to change the circumstances of theirs or don’t fucking complain and wonder how they can’t read and write. Another thing: Discipline is a key factor in this process. Stop bargaining with your kids. Parenting is not a democracy it’s a strict dictatorship. Turn off the wii and read a book end of story. “GROW A PAIR ALREADY”
To those parents that do take their childs education seriously and do all the things necessary to insure that their child is grasping the material, receiving a quality education, is being exposed to the vast diversity of this world…..congratulations your do what your supposed to do. You won’t get a medal. You won’t get a plaque. You will be rewarded with a well rounded highly prepared child with the tools for success. From this day forward we as involved parents must unite, share information, share tips and communicate with each other. Thus we announce the launching of a new blog. PARENTS FOR SUCCESS. We are constructing this as we speak and will update this blog when we are done.
